Haken Continuum Fingerboard Controller
The Haken Continuum Fingerboard "is a musical instrument that allows unprecedented realtime performance control." It is a pressure-sensitive x/y pad that sends MIDI messages to synthesizers.
This controller unit was created for Sarth Calhoun of Lou Reed's Metal Machine Trio, who uses the Continuum in the band. The new version of the Continuum contains a synthesis module with internal sounds, however, the mechanism by which the user switches from program to program lacks feedback, which can be confusing on stage. We created an accessory unit to switch programs on the Continuum with precision and confidence.
